Vishnuvardhan's Funeral Marred by Violence

Kannada star hero passed away in the early hours of wednesday nad his body was shifted to his residence. News of his death spread like a wildfire and fans thronged to his residence to have the last look. Several times stampedes occured and police had a tough time controlling the crowds. Police had to resort to lathicharge nearly 20 times. Enraged by this, the fans started vandalising the State owned buses and also private vehicles. In all about 100 vehicle including 40 buses were damaged. As a mark of respect to the departed star, screening was closed in all theaters. But it was found that Reliance company's Ad Labs was screening Hindi movies. When fans came to know about this, they attacked the Ad Labs theater and raised slogans in protest. It is learned that Ad Labs was screening "3 Idiots" to full house at that time.
